Greetings from Tink World!
Well, the grass is greening! Hopefully that means that spring is here to stay! There could be, and usually is, one more cold snap in April. My great-grandmother always called it Blackberry Winter. She said that it had to get cold one more time for the blackberries to be sweet.
If you haven’t heard, we have teamed up with Darby Farms. You can purchase pastured chicken from our truck when it’s in season. We still have a few parts, mostly leg quarters, until the chickens are ready, which is quickly approaching!
Also, as a piece of this partnership, Tink’s Beef is a part of Darby Farms’ meat CSA. Be sure to check it out! It’s a great way to secure your meat through the beginning of winter. You can pay for your beef, pork and chicken ahead of time and not have to worry about having meat in your freezer. The great thing is that you can pick it up on the farm, at a market in Atlanta or in the Athens area! The deadline to purchase is April 15.
As for markets and deliveries this week, Team Tink will be quite busy! We are delivering to Nature’s Garden Express on Monday. Then, we’ll be back at the Decatur Farmers Market on Wednesday, April 2. The hours are 4-7 p.m. Thursday is the Evans Towne Farmers Market from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. And Saturday, April 5, Team Tink will be back at the Decatur Farmers Market from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Also, deliveries will be made to Augusta and Athens Locally Grown.
As always, feel free to place an order via email, firstname.lastname@example.org, or by ordering online in the Farm Store. That’s the best way to be sure you get the cuts you want.
Well, that’s all for now. Have a great week. We’ll see you at the market!
