Spring Stew

Greetings from Tink World!

Well, the weather man is predicting rain and cooler weather for the first part of the week. That means that the cool nights will be great for a stew or pot roast. 

My favorite thing about cooking stews and roasts is the leftovers. It's great to be able to eat several times off of one dish. Because let's face it, not everyone has time to cook every night. 

This stew recipe from Nourished Kitchen looks great. It's simple and seems easy. I'll be testing it this week. Right off the bat, I see things I'll change. So, I'll be sure to post my recipe in the Food Forum next week. If you have a great recipe that you'd like to share, be sure to send it to us, info@tinksbeef.com. We love trying new things in the kitchen! 

As for markets, Team Tink will be at the Evans Towne Farmers Market on Thursday, May 1. The hours are 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. Then, on Saturday, May 3, we'll be back at the Augusta Market on the River. The market is located by the river on the 8th St. Plaza that intersects with Reynolds. Hours are 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

Don't forget that you can order beef and pork to pick up at the Washington Farmers Market every Saturday. Also, you can order ahead for pickup at the market of your choice or at the farm.
