Greetings from Tink World!
This week we are planning to attend the Washington Farmers Market. We haven't been at our home market in a while. So, we decided to grill burgers as well. Now, the market hours are 1-4 p.m. We plan to get there early and have burgers ready by 1 p.m. That way, your lunch won't be too late. So make plans to come have lunch while you shop the market or take it home to enjoy later.
According to the Weather Channel, it's going to rain Wednesday. So, we won't be at Wednesday's market. We'll see you next week, Decatur.
In honor of us grilling burgers, I wanted to remind you of the amazing recipe, The Tink Double Burger. It's a little different than your normal burger as it uses Tink's ground beef and sausage. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed.
The Double Burger:
1 part Tink's Ground Beef
1 part Tink's Ground Sausage
(1 pound of each makes six burgers)
3 cloves garlic
1/2 cup fresh Basil
Cracked Black Pepper
(Salt and Pepper by preference. You can always add after cooking to taste if you like.)
Cook on a wood grill if possible. Close the grill down so it cooks at 200 degrees or so. This takes longer but is worth the wait! Done right, you should only flip the burger one time in the whole grilling process. After about 10 min on a smoky 200 degree grill flip those bad boys and wait another 10. Perfect all the way through!
If you don't have a wood grill, just use your normal charcoal or gas grill. It is still divine! Cooking on a hotter, 350-400 degree grill, takes about half the time. Total cook time will be 8-12 minutes, depending on how you like them cooked.
