Greetings from Tink World!
Sunday was Chandler's birthday. If you don't know her she is the youngest member of Team Tink and the baby of the family. So, she chose to celebrate by going out instead of us cooking the usual Tink burgers at home.
The gang decided to go to Heirloom Cafe and Fresh Market in Athens. Reason being, they have recently added a Tink's Grass Fed Burger to their menu. So, off we went.
If you haven't visited Heirloom, you must! The food is fresh, local and fantastic! Of course everyone in our group was curious to see what a Tink burger would taste like coming from another kitchen. We weren't disappointed.
Heirloom serves up a healthy portion of meat on fresh buns with homemade pimento cheese, house made pickles and red pepper jelly. It comes with a side salad or potatoes. The combination of sweet, spicy and salty is sure to please everyone! It was definitely a favorite for all of us!
To top it off, Sal, the head chef, came in on his day off just to meet Tink. Sal said it's the best beef he has had in a long time. We are certainly glad to be working with Heirloom and they seem to love Tink's Beef. Here's to many years of a great partnership!
As for markets, Team Tink will be at the Evans Towne Market on Thursday, July 17 from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. Then, on Saturday, July 19, catch us at the Decatur Farmers Market from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
