I started this page to write about my adventure in the grass fed beef business.  I have to say that I have learned a lot in the last 10 years, but really it was all my life.  I knew that cows eat grass, that’s what they were designed to do.

I am a 4th generation cattle person who left the business to raise my children and am now returning to run my own 230 acre grass fed beef business.  It is in small comparison to what my grandparents did, but this is what is left after death and taxes.

Okay, so you have 230 acres what do you do with it?  I tried the 1990’s routine of confinement operations. Whoa! That was a big one, lots of animals in very small places. We continued with this operation until it played out in 2002.  I have Multiple Sclerosis, so I was researching on the internet natural cures, vitamins and herbs.  Looking for any answer as to why? And, how do I get better?  At the same time our county agent brought to our attention, the grass fed beef business and it really started to all click then.  This is the way I was raised to do it; this is the way my parents and grandparents did it.  We never gave growth hormones and we didn’t nurse along animals on grain. A cow should be able to make it on GRASS.

With all my research, I believe that it is what we eat and what the animal eats and is treated with that makes us sick.  I begin to realize how uneducated the American public is in what we eat.  Most are oblivious to what they are putting into their bodies.  This is how Tink’s Grass- Fed Beef came about.  We raise antibiotic, hormone, grain free, healthy grass fed beef to market to you the consumer, it's your choice what you put into your body!!
